Rashee Rice discusses his readiness for the regular season opener

Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice spoke with reporters on Thursday. He discussed his physical and mental readiness for Monday night s season opener against the Denver Broncos ..

.

"I've pushed myself every day to get to 100 percent, even spending extra time in the training room," said Rice. "I'm pretty sure I'm 100 percent, but I'm just ready to get to the game. "

Rice appeared for a few snaps in the preseason finale against the Seattle Seahawks. During the offseason, he underwent surgery to remove debris from his right knee. He said he's focused on the new season and getting back on the field healthy.

"We're real eager. We're just trying to stay calm and not play the game before we actually play the game," said Rice. "We're the last game of Week 1, so just taking our time, watching football and trying not to getanxious. "

Rice ended last season with 53 catches for 571 yards and five touchdowns, averaging 10.8 yards per reception. He missed multiple games last year due to suspension and injuries.
