A former Michigan State football quarterback has formally been named the starter at his new destination.

Former MSU and Oregon State QB Aidan Chiles made the decision to stay in the Big Ten Conference, transferring to Northwestern to play under David Braun and new OC Chip Kelly. On Monday, he was formally named the starting quarterback for the Wildcats.

Coming over to Michigan State from Oregon State with Jonathan Smith, Chiles made 21 appearances for the Sources: Northwestern has named Aidan Chiles the starting quarterback, and he’ll debut for the Wildcats against South Dakota State on Sept. 5.
