The Los Angeles Angels are entering a new phase now that Stan Kroenke has reportedly purchased the franchise from longtime owner Arte Moreno. How could that impact Mike Trout's future with the AL West organization? In all likelihood, Kroenke will be looking to turn the Angels into a contender as quickly as possible. Los Angeles is on its way to a 12th consecutive season without a postseason berth. However, the Angels could finally decide to enter a full rebuild instead of just trudging along year after year. That could mean revamping the farm system by trading the organization's top players, including Trout. "Trout has publicly resisted the idea of a trade, but what would happen if the Angels are open to finally pressing the reset button under new ownership? The three-time MVP recently celebrated his 35th birthday and only has one career playoff appearance," FanSided's Jake Elman wrote. "He’s more than earned the right to at least play for a World Series contender." Elman lists the New York Yankees as a top-five trade destination for Trout, who owns a full no-trade clause in his contract. The idea of Trout playing alongside Aaron Judge for the final years of the duo's careers is certainly an interesting idea for both parties to consider. "Cody Bellinger could stay in left field, and that’d allow the surging Spencer Jones to man center field moving forward. It’s a fun idea, though the logistics currently work against the thought of Trout in pinstripes." Though Trout in pinstripes is a fun concept, the three-time MVP has made it clear he'd prefer to stay with the Angels.
