Vossen Wasted No Time Putting Its Wheels On The Ferrari Luce

Vossen Wheels gave the all-new, all-electric Ferrari Luce some upgrades in the form of bigger wheels and a rear wing, but does it actually look worse?

Well that was fast. The tuning market is never slow to slap its brands all over brand-new supercars, and is the latest to put its gear on the all-new Ferrari Luce. Maranello's first-ever EV has been controversial, to say the least. Its pebble-smooth sedan design hasn't exactly been welcomed by the Ferrari faithful. So it'll be interesting to see how enthusiasts customize them over time, and this Vossen-modded car is the first glimpse we'll get.

Unsurprisingly, Vossen's main upgrade is a new set of wheels, being a wheel company. I'm not one for massive wheels but I actually like the choice here. Big, dished G2-13T wheels that really fill out the Luce's massive wheel arches actually really work well with the electric Ferrari's design. Or maybe it's just because I'm a sucker for dished wheels. The size works, too, as I felt the stock Luce's wheels looked a bit too small, like it was a HotWheels car. But fitting these dishes, and potentially lowering the suspension, seems to really fill in the arches nicely.

What doesn't look great is the tacked-on rear wing. I think the Luce might actually look good with a rear wing, but this one looks like cheap and doesn't really flow with the car's design. I'd say leave the rear wing and keep the wheels—that'd be the best look.

What do you think?

When the Luce first arrived, the general consensus among internet enthusiasts and keyboard warriors seemed to be that it's a good looking car, just not a good looking Ferrari. Even with these upgrades, I still think that's true.

It's definitely better looking with the wheels and lowered stance—I just wonder how well the enthusiast and aftermarket communities will take to it as time goes on.
