The NBC broadcast added a new face to its NFL team this season, as has joined the rest of the amazing cast. He debuted pregame for the Seattle , and he already that people were laughing at. One of them was when he botched Jaxon Smith-Njigba’s initials.
Luckily, Maria Taylor was there to correct the former head coach, and there’s a good chance he won’t be slipping up again when she’s around.
“I think with a young and depleted running back core, which we’ve talked about, I think it comes down to Sam [Darnold] and JNS,” Tomlin said.

“JSN, I’m not going to let you do it again,” Taylor jokingly said.
“I appreciate you for taking care of me,” Tomlin said.

Tomlin is probably used to referring to players by their names, but it could also be him trying to get the nerves out of his first broadcast opportunity. He did well on the desk, and there’s no doubt that he’ll get better as the season goes along.
He should also get used to saying Smith-Njigba’s name, because he’ll probably have another big season after what he did against the Patriots. He scored the one touchdown that the Seahawks had all game, and it was a fourth-down play that he took to the house.
It’ll be interesting to see how Darnold’s injury will affect Smith-Njigba’s touches, but Drew Lock will be looking for him almost every play. The Seahawks are expected to be a high-flying offense once again this season, and if that’s working well for them, they have a top defense that puts pressure on the quarterback consistently.
