Rams will be finalizing the roster soon

The Los Angeles Rams have one more preseason game to figure out . It’s a nerve-racking time for any player on the roster bubble, and it’s exciting as well. Some players are going to be disappointed as they won’t make their team, other players will have their dreams come true.

The Rams have plenty of work to do to figure out their , , and more! So much to do, never enough time in the NFL.

To this point, the Rams are 2-0 and are having a nice preseason with Ty Simpson looking solid against the Kansas City Chiefs, and then Stetson Bennett looking confident against the New Orleans Saints. You could make the case that preseason is going exactly as it should for the Rams as their quarterbacks look serviceable, and their depth overall looks like a strength.

Take that all with a grain of salt. It’s only preseason, and the Rams want to look good in the regular season, not just the preseason. That aside, take it for what it is. The Rams have looked good in August, and that’s all they can do right now.

Food for thought, some nice p0ints. I will say though I think Jimmy Garoppolo could make a lot of sense. I also think we don’t know how ready Bennett or Simpson are for the regular season, but the Rams should have a decent idea.

“Really what good would the preseason reps be for Simpson? Bennett has being getting preseason reps nearly all his years with the Rams. The reps Simpson needs are the practice reps. That’s what matters. But if Simpson can’t beat out Bennett for QB2 then he won’t get many meaningful reps at all. He’s in the same boat Bennett was in last year. QB3 having to take mainly mental reps because Stafford and Jimmy G were taking the 1st and 2nd team reps. Nothing Simpson does in preseason will have me confident that he’s ready for the backup roll, like nothing Bennett has done has me he convince he’s ready either. Just easy to see Bennett knows the plays better than Simpson as expected.

And another thing everyone want the Rams to sign Jimmy G, where was this motivation last year when folks didn’t know if Stafford was going to play. I’ll I heard was doom and gloom for the season!! Now people want Jimmy G back like he’s going to be the savior!! Jimmy G is miles away better than both Bennett and Simpson just pointing out people wasn’t this chummy about him last year. “-Gerald Jeffcoat
