No. 19 (4-4) knocked off No. 4 Stanford in four sets to record its first ranked win of the season. It's been a tough road through a chock-full of Top 25 teams, but getting their first ranked win at Walt Disney World makes it just a little more magical.

The Aggies have been marred by mistakes this season, leaving them unable to pull off wins against top opponents. However, on Wednesday night, A&M put together its best performance of the season. The Aggies jumped out early and took the first two sets (25-23 and 25-13) before Stanford took the third (25-21) to avoid the sweep. The ladies in Maroon & White closed it out in the fourth set (25-19) and finished the match with a .344 hitting percentage.

Key Players of the game

  • Kyndal Stowers: 15 kills, 11 digs
  • Eliza Sharp: 13 kills, 4 blocks
  • Kirra Musgrove: 44 assists (career high), 10 digs
A&M has faced an extremely tough schedule and, so far, has been 0-4 against ranked opponents. The win not only gave the Aggies their first ranked victory of the season but also handed Stanford its first loss. This is the type of win that can mean a lot, especially once the Aggies get into conference play. However, it doesn't get any easier, as they host No. 6 Wisconsin at Reed Arena on Friday at 7 p.m. CT.
