Visiting Haddinal, the victim’s native village, Mr. Manjunath met the grieving family to offer his condolences.
“All applicable government and corporation benefits will be extended to the family, given that they depended entirely on Bhumanand’s income,” Mr. Manjunath said.
In addition to State aid, the corporation will meet the educational expenses of the victim’s three daughters up to the Pre-University Course (PUC) level. Mr. Manjunath also assured the family that the corporation would address their requests for a commercial vehicle and a hollow-brick manufacturing unit to help sustain their livelihood.
He said a house will be sanctioned through the Dr. Babu Jagjivan Ram Leather Industries Development Corporation (LIDKAR) following a formal report, and financial assistance will be extended to the victim’s brothers.
Community leader Rajendra Jaldar and several others accompanied the chairman during the visit.
