Former Nebraska defensive lineman puts on show in preseason game

Philadelphia Eagles defensive tackle Ty Robinson had a strong game despite the Eagles losing to the New England Patriots in Saturday night’s preseason contest. Robinson recorded two sacks and four solo tackles, making him a defensive force for the Eagles. He was a major part of what was a strong defensive performance for Philadelphia, but the Eagles were unable to come away with the victory. On one particular play, he burst through the line and took down the Patriots' quarterback.

Robinson was drafted by the Eagles last season in the fourth round with the 111th overall selection. He has played in 11 games and recorded five total tackles. Now, he looks to make his contributions to what is an already stout Eagles defensive line. The Husker player development has been much maligned over the past couple of years. Nevertheless, strong performances from players such as Robinson are certainly encouraging signs of the direction the program is headed.
