Milton was waived during roster cuts early this week when Dallas claimed Emari Demercado. It came as a bit of a surprise seeing as he flourished during the preseason. However, the Cowboys decided that Sam Howell had won the bakcup role to Dak Prescott. Perhaps they made the move that they did believing that they could bring Milton back as they just have.
This gives Dallas another solid option at quarterback just in case something catastrophic happens, which nobody wants of course. Now, it’ll be interesting to see how things end up behind Dak Prescott with Milton back in the fold.
