Jayden Maiava will have the best quarterback performance this week
Jayden Maiava has been lights-out to start the season and is coming off a spectacular game in Week 1. This week I think we will get an even better performance from him. The confidence that is built up now in the young Trojan receivers is reaching high levels. They feel like they can make every catch. Kayden Dixon-Wyatt showcased that on an elite catch vs the Bulldogs. That confidence has allowed Maiava to just throw the ball up and give his playmakers a chance to make plays. That will lead to him being the best quarterback this week in the conference. 2 straight weeks of winning Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week, and Maiava will add another one to his belt.
Bryce Underwood will start his last game this week
There is already a lot of doubt about Bryce Underwood starting the season. In his first game, minus the hail mary that shouldn't have counted, he really did not show much improvement in his game. Kyle Whittingham is focused on winning, and recent press conferences do not reveal that he is all that committed to Underwood. Oklahoma, like they did last season, will add even more doubt surrounding Underwood. After a loss and a disastrous performance, I think Underwood will get benched.
Ohio State will lose its seat at the top of the Big Ten
Ohio State will have its hands full facing one of the best teams in the country on the road. Texas is just as talented as the Buckeyes on every level. The last time these two teams met, it was close for the majority of the game. With Arch Manning having more experience under his belt and more talent this time around, I think the Longhorns pull off the win. The best time to get the Buckeyes is early on in the season. Ohio State, with 1 loss, will no longer be at the top of the Big Ten standings.
