Filipe Luís has confirmed that Jordan Teze and Mamadou Coulibaly will miss AS Monaco’s trip to face RC Strasbourg Alsace.
Teze, Luís has revealed, was playing with “pain” and so the decision has been taken to give him some rest in order to recover. The suggestion is that he will also miss the game against RC Lens in order to give him some respite. The international duty will also give the Dutchman more time to recover from the issue.
Coulibaly’s problem is “a bit more serious”, the Monaco manager said in a press conference attended by Get French Football News. The academy product suffered a quadriceps injury in midweek, he added. A more prolonged period of absence is expected for Coulibaly, who has been starting on the right of the attack for the Principality club this season.
Folarin Balogun is not yet ready to return, nor is Ansu Fati, although both were involved in Friday afternoon’s training session, attended by GFFN. Takumi Minamino and Mohamed Salisu, both of whom are recovering from ACL injuries sustained last winter, could be included in the matchday squad.
