Rizzi has come a long way since that time, but the memories of 9/11 haven't faded for him, and for millions across the country. With Rizzi's connection to victims of the horrors of that day, it still affects him.

"Just being in that area during that time, I’ve seen a lot of documentaries and things recently about it," Rizzi said. "So I’d be remiss if I didn’t at least mention that. My thoughts and our prayers go out to all the victims, their families, both the thousands of people that lost their lives on that day and the hundreds and thousands that lost their lives subsequently.”
