Big match early on Sunday afternoon

Our first away game of the ADMIRAL Women's Bundesliga season could not be any more enticing. This Sunday we are visiting SK Sturm Graz for a real test at 12:45 CEST. Sara Telek, Austria's top female ref will take charge of the game being broadcast live on ORF Sport+.

This match isn't just a clash between the best attack of the new season – Brigitta Pulins & Co. already have eight goals – and the strongest defence, which has yet to concede a goal. It's also a meeting of the two clubs that, after two matchdays, sit atop the table with the maximum points.

If the match is even half as eventful as the two away games last season, then we're in for a real spectacle. After all, the 5-5 draw in February, in which our team were down 2-5, was followed by another thriller in the championship group. In the 96th minute, Valentina Lutz scored a much-celebrated equaliser to make it 2-2 in the final whistle of the 2025/26 season.

The aim on Sunday: to finally secure our first win against Graz! If you include our time in Bergheim, when Laura Spinn, Valentina Illinger, and their team-mates were already part of a Bundesliga squad for our predecessor club, we haven't managed a win in 22 attempts, including four draws. A win would also bring a smile to the face of Greta Spinn, who will likely be sidelined for an extended period due to her ankle injury.

What do you reckon?

Will we gain a resounding victory or a hard-fought win? Or perhaps a friendly draw? To mark the new season, Laola1, the new media partner of the ADMIRAL Women's Bundesliga, has launched a prediction game where you can compete with friends, teammates, and other fans. Sign up and make your predictions for the upcoming matchday!

Sturm Graz have made a very strong start to the season. It will be a really good yardstick for us. However, we're traveling to Graz with confidence and want to play our style of football with courage, intensity and conviction.
