The is drawing to a close this weekend. It’s been an entertaining and dramatic tournament as always. One person who really seemed to enjoy the action in Queens was Seattle Storm guard and one-half of the StudBudz, Natisha Hiedeman.
Hiedeman posted on earlier this week saying, “Okay not gonna lie my dream is to be one of the ppl that give the tennis players the ball when they serve. What’s the qualifications?? I see me at the US Open next year doing this.” According to a follow-up post, she played tennis in high school.

Natisha Hiedeman would be the funniest ball girl ever 😭 — Just Women’s Hoops (@justwomenshoops)Hiedeman is not the first adult to want to get in on that action. During the 1993 episode of Seinfeld, “The Lip Reader,” Kramer became a ball boy at the US Open when Jerry was dating a deaf lineswoman. Hopefully, Kramer’s disastrous results don’t ruin her chances.

Should the US Open consider letting Hiedman help out during a match, the biggest hurdle might be the fact that the tournament usually runs up against the end of the WNBA regular season and playoffs. With the FIBA World Cup break this year this might have been her best chance as far as schedules go.
At 29-years-old, Hiedeman is having a breakout season with the Storm. While Seattle has had a rough year, Hiedeman is having a breakout season at 29-years-old. She leads the Storm in assists and is second on the team in scoring. She’s 15.4 points, 4.8 assists, 2.7 rebounds and 1.1 steals a game. She has one year remaining on her current deal and then she’ll be free to do whatever she wants. Including work at the US Open.
