Angel Reese is coming off scoring her career-high in points during Atlanta Dream’s Saturday night game against the Phoenix Mercury.
the Dream’s big received a lot of love for her performance, from her teammates and coaches, as well as fans. But the love of the masses is notoriously fickle.

WNBA fans were merciless after Cameron Brink blocked Angel Reese and denied her twice
In the first quarter against the Sparks, Reese drove to the basket trying to get two easy points for her team. This did not work out as planned, Brink was with her every step of the way.
The LA star made herself big and managed to get one block while staying in position to deny another attempt, too. The clip quickly went viral on social media, and fans had a lot to say.
“All those elbows and clumsy footwork and physicality… Needs to do better by this point of her career,” one fan said. “Reese had no idea where she was going there,” claimed another.
“INSTANT offensive foul. She throws her elbow into Cam’s chest after that spin,” a third fan said. “Threw the elbow twice and still got packed twice lol,” commented a fourth fan.
“There’s really people who genuinely think she’s better than Caitlin,” a different comment read. “Angel Reese is the funniest player to watch in the league, you can’t tell me otherwise,” said a sixth fan.
Reese has enjoyed the last laugh on the night, the Dream beat the Sparks 78-71. Angel may not have shot it well, but she managed to grab a record-breaking 26 rebounds during the game.
