Both area football team go on the road this week and both have a pretty good chance to return with a win.
Last week, North Daviess continued to show its dominance with a comfortable 39-14 win at Eastern Greene, after going up 39-0 at the half.
ND got a solid night from its starters, including quarterback Jason Jones as he passed for two TDs and ran for one in two quarters of action, before the Cougar JV took over.
With win, ND moved up to No. 6 in class A and have a chance to make a statement against Pike Central on Friday.
Currently, PC is 0-3 and the John Harrell prediction for the game is 91-0, which hopefully will give ND another chance to 1A Cloverdale in a week.
PC comes in after a 67-0 loss and is averaging eight points a game and giving up 46.7. They are coached by J.J. Howald, 5-29 in fourth year at school.
Washington (0-3) had a great chance for a win last week, but Forest Park was able to win it on a second-attempt of a field goal with essentially no time left clock, for the 18-15 win.
The Hatchets had their best effort of the season and look to be the favorite for the Friday road contest with Princeton.
Princeton comes in at 1-2 and does have 32-12 win against Pike Central, but were shoutout in their other two contests. Nick Beloat, 1-2 in first year at school. He is now the third coach in the last three years, and are looking for its first winning season since 2016.
Last year WHS prevailed in a 38-35 game and this year, WHS is a 42-14 winner, as predicted by the Harrell site.
During the game, WHS did get a long breakaway 46-yard run from 46-yard run by Antwan Tabor and a 4-yard run later in the game.
Game time is slated for 7:30 p.m. eastern time at Princeton.
