Several Tuscaloosa-area players enter the year with the talent and opportunity to put themselves in the conversation for some of the state’s top individual honors.
The Alabama Sports Writers Association names a Back of the Year and Lineman of the Year in each classification. Quarterbacks, running backs, receivers and defensive backs are eligible for the back award, while offensive linemen, defensive linemen and linebackers compete for lineman honors.
