When the Hartono family acquired Como in 2019, the Azzurri were playing in Serie D, Italy’s fourth division; from there, they climbed the Italian football pyramid, secured Champions League qualification in 2025-26, and won their first match in Europe’s elite competition yesterday.
Como have been among the highest spenders in Serie A in recent years, but what sets them apart from most of their contenders in Italy and Europe is their ability to make new signings within a well-defined technical plan, inspired by their coach and minority shareholder, Cesc Fabregas.

Como might have just won their first-ever Champions League match, but their team’s reported value reflects their present and future ambitions.
As reported by , Como rank 13th among the most valuable teams in this season’s Champions League and are the second most valuable team in the competition after defending Serie A champions Inter.
