It's been an unforgettable summer for the Bridgewater Little League baseball team.
And it just keeps getting better. Bridgewater is now headed to the Little League World Series in Williamsport, Pennsylvania.
To get there, Bridgewater had to win:
Led by slugger/ace Dominik Mombeleur, Team New England is fighting to win a couple more championships. At the World Series, Bridgewater will trying to win the US championship and a world championship in the modified double-elimination tournament.
Bridgewater defeated Maine (Gray New Gloucester) in the New England championship on Thursday, Aug. 13 to advance to the World Series.
When does Bridgewater Little League play next?
Bridgewater already knows what's next. The New England champions will play the Metro champions on Wednesday, Aug. 19 at 7 p.m. on. ESPN. The Metro championship is on Friday, Aug. 14 between New Jersey (Bayonne Central) and Connecticut (Darien) at 7 p.m. in Bristol, Conn.
With a win, New England would advance to play the Mid-Atlantic champion on Friday, Aug. 21 at 7 p.m. The Mid-Atlantic championship is also being played on Friday, Aug. 14 in Bristol. Pennsylvania (East Side) and Delaware (Naamans) will play at 3 p.m.
With a loss in the opener, Bridgewater would play an elimination game on Saturday, Aug. 22 at 3 p.m.
