The 2026 high school sports season is around the corner in West Texas.
One of the most highly anticipated sports of the fall is football. West Texas has a long history of success in high school football, and last year was no exception with Wall winning the Class 3A Division II state championship in AT&T Stadium last December.
With the regular season on the horizon, we want to hear from local fans and community members on who they think is the San Angelo Standard-Times Preseason Defensive Player of the Year.
