The striker had technically already left the Bianconeri when his contract was allowed to expire on June 30.

There had been some slender hope that he could negotiate a new deal at a far lower salary than the €12m per season he was earning in his final campaign, but that practically evaporated once Randal Kolo Muani arrived from Paris Saint-Germain.
Instead, with offers from Arsenal, Atletico Madrid, Napoli and Milan simply not materialising, he eventually accepted the proposal from Besiktas.

It allows Vlahovic to reunite with his former Fiorentina coach Vincenzo Italiano, and a formal statement today confirmed he will be earning €7.5m per season plus performance-related bonuses.
These are widely expected to eventually net the Serbian around €10m per year.
With the announcement completed at Besiktas, Vlahovic took to social media to say goodbye to Juventus.

“There are moments when finding the right words is difficult. And this is one of them,” wrote Vlahovic on Instagram.
“When I arrived in Turin I had a huge dream, a great desire to prove who I was, and the pride of wearing a jersey that carries with it an incredible history.
“My journey with Juventus has come to an end. They have been intense years. Years of victories, goals, immense joy, but also difficult moments. But I have always tried to give my all, every time I stepped onto the pitch.
“Because wearing this jersey means carrying the history of Italian football on my shoulders, and for that I will always be grateful.
“I want to thank Juventus, Andrea Angelli, John Elkann, and the entire family, all the people who work behind the scenes every day, my coaches, and especially my teammates. We shared much more than 90 minutes on a football pitch. Some moments will stay with me for the rest of my life.
“Thank you to Turin, a city that welcomed me and became my home. I grew up here, not only as a footballer, but above all as a man.
“And then, thank you, Juventus fans. Every chant, every child wearing my jersey, every celebration under the Curva, every hug after a goal: these are images I will carry with me wherever I go.
“In football, paths change, but what we’ve experienced never fades. I leave Turin with so many memories, with gratitude, and with the knowledge that I left a part of myself here.
“I arrived with the desire to become part of Juventus’ history. I leave knowing that Juventus will forever be a part of mine.

Vlahovic had joined Juventus from their bitter rivals Fiorentina in January 2022 at a cost of €85.4m, when his contract there had also been running down.
He scored 68 goals with 16 assists in 168 competitive games for the Old Lady.
