Video: Watch ‘The Mayhem of Jason Miller,’ Dark Side of the Cage Season 2 premiere

(Photo by Josh Hedges/Zuffa LLC/Zuffa LLC via Getty Images) | Zuffa LLC via Getty Images </figcaption></figure><p class="wp-block-paragraph">“Mayhem” finally gets the <em>Dark Side</em> treatment.</p><p class="wp-block-paragraph">VICE TV’s critically acclaimed mixed martial arts (MMA) documentary series, <em><a href="https://www.mmamania.com/2024/12/13/24320337/vice-tv-announces-dark-side-of-the-cage-set-to-debut-january-8th">Dark Side of the Cage</a></em>, returned for its second season last night (Tues., Sept. 1, 2026), placing the turbulent life of former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) star <strong>Jason “Mayhem” Miller</strong> under the microscope.</p><p class="wp-block-paragraph">The complete 44-minute episode, titled “The Mayhem of Jason Miller,” has now been released online for free on YouTube.</p><p class="wp-block-paragraph">Watch it below:</p><div class="youtube-embed"><iframe allowfullscreen src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/3Zc5SrQuZXY?rel=0" title="The Mayhem of Jason Miller | Dark Side Of The Cage"></iframe></div><p class="wp-block-paragraph">Miller was one of MMA’s first true crossover personalities. The charismatic Middleweight competed for UFC, WEC, DREAM and Strikeforce, sharing the cage with legendary names such as <strong>Georges St-Pierre</strong>, <strong>Michael Bisping</strong>, <strong>Jake Shields</strong>, <strong>Robbie Lawler</strong>, <strong>Tim Kennedy</strong>, <strong>Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza</strong> and <strong>Kazushi Sakuraba</strong>.</p><p class="wp-block-paragraph">His colorful entrances, unpredictable interviews and completely unfiltered personality eventually earned him a job hosting MTV’s <em>Bully Beatdown</em> for three seasons. He later <a href="https://www.mmamania.com/2011/12/3/2608434/ultimate-fighter-tuf-14-fight-card-jason-miller-vs-michael-bisping-preview-spike-tv-mma">coached opposite Bisping on <em>The Ultimate Fighter 14</em></a> before suffering a third-round technical knockout loss to “The Count.”</p><p class="wp-block-paragraph">The episode also revisits Miller’s involvement in the infamous <a href="https://www.mmamania.com/2010/4/18/1428729/strikeforce-nashville-post-fight">2010 Strikeforce: Nashville brawl</a>, which erupted on live television after he interrupted Shields’ post-fight interview to ask for a rematch.</p><p class="wp-block-paragraph">Unfortunately, Miller’s <a href="https://www.mmamania.com/2018/10/24/18018102/mayhem-miller-arrested-again-held-without-bail-facing-potential-prison-term">life began spiraling after UFC released him in 2012</a>. The documentary explores his battles with addiction and mental-health crises, along with the arrests, <a href="https://www.mmamania.com/2017/4/6/15204912/former-ufc-fighter-jason-mayhem-miller-sentenced-following-felony-charges-orange-county">SWAT standoff</a>, incarceration and period of homelessness that followed.
