Coming off a 27-7 win over the Atlanta Falcons in their preseason opener last week, the Denver Broncos are now preparing to host the Green Bay Packers in Week 2 of NFL preseason on Friday evening.
We're updating our 53-man roster prediction this week, and it was, once again, a difficult exercise. Among the tough cuts were offensive linemen Calvin Throckmorton and Matt Peart, seventh-round draft picks Dallen Bentley and Miles Scott, undrafted rookies Taurean York and Brent Austin, and oft-injured linebacker Drew Sanders.
The Broncos have two more preseason games before the cuts begin, and we'll release an updated 53-man roster prediction after each game this summer.

After preseason, the Broncos will have until Aug. 30 to finalize an initial 53-man roster. After that, clubs will make waiver claims on Aug. 31 before building 16- or 17-player practice squads. So Denver will have 69 or 70 total players going into the 2026 campaign.
