Now, from the high school class of 2027, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN.
“NaVorro Bowman Jr., 5-star point guard out of Notre Dame High School in Sherman Oaks, California has committed to the University of Connecticut and will play for coach Dan Hurley. Bowman Jr., son of former 49ers standout linebacker NaVorro Bowman, is the highest-ranked player to commit to a school in the 2027 High School Class. He’s No. 12 overall in ESPN’s rankings,” Schefter posted on X, formerly Twitter.

Navorro Bowman Jr., who is ranked as the fifth-best point guard in the class, also recieved offense from Illinois and Texas, Arizona, North Carolina, and Kentucky.

“Navorro Bowman Jr is a confident and physical lead guard. The two areas I was most impressed today was his ability to consistently touch the paint and his aggressive defense. Bowman plays with excellent pace and was consistently in the teeth of the defense. He made good reads and was able to finish at each level. Bowman is an excellent point of attack defender, guarding the ball in the open floor and sliding off ball in the half court,” Shaw wrote.
He becomes the first commitment for the class of 2027 for UConn, but brings them to the second-best class in the nation, only behind Purdue. They also have the best class in the Big East.
