Two defensive players miss Sept. 9 practice for the Green Bay Packers

Warren Brinson injury update

Packers defensive tackle Warren Brinson was held out of practice.

He’s been out with a calf injury he suffered during warmups before the second preseason game against the Ty’Ron Hopper injury updatePackers linebacker Ty’Ron Hopper also didn’t participate in practice.

His injury status is unknown, but he was off to the side doing rehab during the media’s open portion of practice.

The injury report released later in the day will provide clarity on his specific injury.

Zach Bako-Bewele injury update

Packers standout right tackle Zach Bako-Bewele was present and doing drills with the rest of the offensive line as the media observed practice.

Packers coach Matt LaFleur said Bako-Bewele would be limited as he’s building up to the season after offseason knee surgery to repair a partially torn patellar tendon.

Aaron Banks injury update

Packers left guard Aaron Banks was also participating with the rest of the line. He’s been dealing with knee tendinitis that forced him to miss time in camp.

LaFleur said Banks also would be limited in practice, and if he’s healthy to play, he’ll be the starting guard for Week 1.

"We're just going to take it one day at a time and see where they're at," he said on Banks and Bako-Bewele. "Hopefully, we can build on that throughout the course of the week. "
