Shannon Sharpe and Chad Johnson have already expressed their opinions on Von Miller joining the Dallas Cowboys.

The future Hall of Fame linebacker has returned to Dallas to play what could be the final season of his NFL career.

However, Miller has not joined the Cowboys on a farewell tour; he has aspirations to win his third Super Bowl title.

Dallas have been tipped to contend for the championship this season, and Miller’s addition only increases their chances.

Here is what former NFL superstars Sharpe and Johnson had to say about the 37-year-old signing for the Cowboys.

Shannon Sharpe and Chad Johnson praise Cowboys’ Von Miller move

Sharpe and Johnson were both delighted for Miller and excited about what he could bring to the Cowboys’ defense.

Johnson reacted: “I’m happy for Von. I’m hoping he can bolster that defense and help them improve, especially when it comes to putting pressure on quarterbacks.

“That’s going to be tremendous for them. Tremendous for the Cowboys. Very, very good pickup. Very good.”

Meanwhile, Sharpe explained that the Cowboys had nothing to lose from signing Miller to a cheap contract.

“I think this is really this is no risk to the Cowboys. You’re signing him on a minimum salary. Anything that he gives you is a bonus. He can still rush the quarterback.

“And if the Cowboys offense is what we expect them to be, they should be ahead on a lot of these games. So, it should take the run element out of a lot of these games…

“Quinnen Williams just signed a big-time contract. They have Kenny Clark. They’ve got a lot of guys in there that they feel can stuff the run… I like this pickup for Von. I’m happy for Von.”

However, even though the Cowboys have several defensive stars, the pressure will be on Miller to help them in the playoffs.

Everyone knows all about the Cowboys’ postseason struggles, and Miller’s title-winning experience could prove crucial.
