In the first minute, he collided with Alberto Coyote, causing him to suffer a dislocated joint. In the fourth minute, an aerial challenge with Daniel Corral left the defender with an ankle injury. Then, in the 10th minute, a loose ball resulted in ‘Tilón’ Chávez also injuring his knee.
After the incident, Joel was taken out of training and thought Alberto Guerra might even remove him from the team.
