Last weekend, USC extended its first quarterback offer in the class of 2028 when Lincoln Riley and the Trojansoffered four-star quarterback Trey Wright. A week later, Wright is officially a Trojan, as on Saturday, he announced his commitment to USC.
Wright is from Frisco, Texas. 247Sports Composite ranks him as the No. 419 overall player and the No. 28 quarterback in the class of 2028. He chose USC over Oregon, Kentucky, Arizona, and SMU.
Wright is the Trojans’ first commit in their 2028 recruiting class. 2028 wide receiver Roye Oliver III did commit to USC back in March, but in May, he reclassified to the 2027 cycle.
USC will kick off its 2026 season on August 29 at the Coliseum against San Jose State.
