Three Lady Vols earn SEC weekly volleyball honors

Three Tennessee volleyball players received SEC weekly honors on Monday.

Kennedi Rogers was named SEC Co-Offensive Player of the Week, Caroline Kerr earned SEC Co-Setter of the Week and Jolene Oddo received SEC Freshman of the Week honors.

The Lady Vols (5-0) swept Illinois on Sept. 1 and Indiana on Sunday. Rogers totaled 33 kills, including 19 kills against the Hoosiers and three blocks. She has totaled 10-plus kills in all four matches she has appeared in this season. Rogers ranks second in NCAA Division I for kills per set (5.67) and points per set (6.29).

Kerr, a fifth-year player, earned SEC Setter of the Week honors for a seventh time in her collegiate career. She totaled 30-plus assists against both Illinois and Indiana. Kerr had 38 assists versus the Fighting Illini and 32 against Indiana. She also recorded 10 digs against the Hoosiers and her 25th double-double, tying Lily Felts for ninth in program history. Through five matches, Kerr has recorded 169 assists and is averaging 11.27 assists per set.

Oddo, a freshman middle blocker, claimed her first weekly SEC honor. She recorded five of Tennessee's 13 blocks against the Hoosiers. Oddo leads Tennessee with 14 blocks and has recorded two or more kills in all five matches this season.
