India’s pool of high-growth start-ups valued between $200 million and $500 million has more than doubled to 110 companies in 2026, from 54 in 2021. The 2026 ASK Private Wealth Hurun India Cheetah Index shows that the cohort has a combined valuation of over ₹3 lakh crore, while 43 new companies entered the list this year. Fintech, SaaSc and e-commerce remain the largest sectors, even as electric mobility, cleantech, aerospace and defence and AI gain ground
