The Cantera Rojiblanca continued its Apertura 2026 campaign this weekend in Matchday 5, where the U15 secured an important 2-1 victory over Tigres, while the Women’s U19 drew 1-1 against the Felinas and earned a point at the Zuazua training facilities in Monterrey. Meanwhile, the U17 also faced the Monterrey-based side, but the result did not go their way as they fell 2-1 to the UANL team.

We know Chivahermanos always keep a close eye on the development of our young players, so here are the results and highlights from the matches played by the Rojiblanco youth teams against Tigres.

U15 (Men’s)

The U15 secured an important 2-1 victory over Tigres in the match played at the Zuazua training facilities. Santiago López opened the scoring in the 19th minute to put Guadalajara ahead, while an own goal by Ángel Sahagún in the 79th minute allowed the Felinas to level the match. However, the Rebaño Sagrado responded quickly, as Gabriel Martínez found the back of the net in the 87th minute to score the game-winner and secure all three points for Guadalajara.

Women’s U19

The Women’s U19 remain unbeaten in the Apertura 2026 after drawing 1-1 with Tigres. The Felinas took the lead in the 14th minute, but the Rojiblancas responded in the second half, with Kennya Silva finding the equalizer. Following the draw, the extra point was decided in a penalty shootout, where Tigres prevailed 4-2.

U17 (Men’s)

The U17 faced Tigres on the road. The Felinas took the lead in the first half, but Guadalajara responded after the break, with Ángel Coronado scoring in the 51st minute to bring the Rebaño Sagrado back into the game. However, the Rojiblancos were unable to find the equalizer and ultimately fell 2-1.
