Manning and Texas got the 2026 campaign underway with a strong performance in a 59-7 blowout win against the Texas State Bobcats. He completed 20 out of 27 passes for 305 yards and four touchdowns and one interception. It marks a great warmup for the aspiring national contenders, wanting to test the quality of their squad before facing one of the best teams in the country.
The No. 4 Longhorns will continue preparations for their clash against the No. 1 Buckeyes in Week 2. That matchup will commence on Sept. 12 at 7:30 p.m. ET.
