Leeds United get their season up and running this afternoon as they welcome Thornaby Women to the BD Community Stadium in the FA WNL Division One North.
Ahead of the opener, the first starting XI of the campaign has been announced, involving three new signings in the squad.
Holly Mears makes her debut for the side in goal, shielded by a back four of captain Shauna Legge, Emily Cassidy, another new recruit in Izzy Dean and Darcie Greene.
In the engine room, Alice Hughes is joined by Ellie White and Abbie Langstaff, with a front three of Drew Greene, Amy Woodruff and Chloe Dixon just ahead of them.
On the bench, Carrie Simpson is accompanied by fellow ‘keeper Charlotte Oates, Kath Smith, Ella Harris, Alayna Millard and Ruby Waldron.
