With plenty of character and without stopping the fight until the final minute, Tapatío earned an important 3-2 win tonight on the road against Correcaminos in Matchday 4 of the Liga de Expansión MX Apertura 2026. The Young Flock showed resilience to come from behind and take all three points.

The Rojiblancos started well positioned on the field and found the opener in the 9th minute. Diego Latorre rose to meet the ball with a header to make it 1-0 in favor of the red-and-white side. However, Correcaminos responded and in the 19th minute leveled the match. The team from Tamaulipas kept up the pressure and in the 34th minute found the back of the net again to turn the score around.

Despite trailing on the scoreboard, Tapatío did not give up and in the second half showed character in its push for a comeback. In the 54th minute, Diego Latorre came close to scoring his second with a shot that went just wide of the opposition goal.

After putting pressure on the Tamaulipas side’s box, the red-and-white response paid off in the 59th minute, when Matías Cendejas appeared to score the equalizer and make it 2-2 once again. The Young Flock kept pushing to turn the game around and in the 70th minute completed the comeback. After a corner kick, Carlo Soldati rose high and connected with a header to make it 3-2, sealing the win for the Rojiblancos.
