Goals galore on Wednesday evening
The rescheduled ADMIRAL Bundesliga match against SK Rapid only went in one direction from the start. Haris Tabakovic and Nikolas Veratschnig put our team on the path to victory against the previously flawless Viennese side, and any doubts were dispelled after the first half. With this 5-1 win, we avenged our recent defeats against Hoff Thorup's side and secured our fifth home win of the season.

4' – Tabakovic crowns great start
Our Red Bulls made one statement after another right from the beginning. After a quick attack involving Dominik Schmid and Sota Kitano, the latter set up Haris Tabakovic, who outmaneuvered Horn and gave Hedl no chance – an early indication of how this Austrian Klassiker would unfold.
15' – Veratschnig makes it two
The onslaught continued! After a strong dribble by Edmund Baidoo and a precise switch of play to Yorbe Vertessen, who set up Dominik Schmid, the ball landed at the feet of Nikolas Veratschnig. Our advancing full-back powerfully fired the ball into the net to extend our lead.
21' – Another increase in tempo
We were treated to a goal fest! Once again, it was Haris Tabakovic who celebrated after a successful move, finishing with a precise long-range strike after being set up by Bartosz Mazurek! The newly crowned Player of the Month for August once again demonstrated his clinical finishing, rewarding our relentless attack. Another Tabakovic goal was disallowed for a marginal offside, so the score remained 'only' 3-0 at half-time.
46' – Baidoo makes it four
The second half had barely kicked off when Abubakr Barry won the ball thanks to the visitors' defensive disarray. Mazurek was involved again, and his lay-off found Baidoo, who calmly slotted home from 20 yards out to make it 4-0. The perfect start to the second half was slightly dampened when Rapid pulled one back through Seidl, with the Kuchl native scoring from outside the box (51').
60' to 90' – Fresh momentum, still on top
Our lads' attacking play remained high-octane, and we were unlucky when Kitano hit the crossbar. Our substitutes also quickly made their mark: Karim Konate and the rest were constantly stirring things up, and the Ivorian ultimately had the final say. Enrique Aguilar provided a perfect pass, and Konate bundled the ball over the line (90').
The 5-1 scoreline sealed a resounding home win for our Red Bulls and kept our perfect home record intact. We march on with our next stop being St. Pölten, where we face SKN in the UNIQA ÖFB Cup on Sunday.
