Chicago Sky guard Natasha Cloud has found herself in trouble multiple times over the years because of her brash personality and fiery passion.

The Sky took a chance on Cloud with just a few days before the start of the season, signing her to a one-year, $550,000 deal after the New York Liberty released her after just one year. So far, she has repaid Chicago’s trust with her consistent contributions on both ends of the floor.

On Tuesday, Cloud had the best game of her colorful career, and it was only apt that she did it against the Liberty. She finished with a career-high 35 points, nine rebounds, and six assists to lead Chicago past New York, 93-86, at Wintrust Arena.

In the postgame interview, the 34-year-old veteran was still dripping with adrenaline.

“They tried to keep me out for a little bit. I have so much left to give this game. I’m always talking about myself a lot, but I’m not a traditional f****** one. I am a two-way point guard,” said Cloud, who shot 13-of-21 from the field, including 4-of-8 from long range.

The Sky are Cloud’s fourth team in four years. She also suited up for the Washington Mystics and the Phoenix Mercury before moving to the Liberty. While the wins have been hard to come by, the former assists leader expressed her contentment in Windy City.

“I’m so happy to be here with this team, with this environment. I know it hasn’t been a great year for us, but I love that locker room, and that locker room loves me. They allow me to be me. I’m just thankful to be here in Chicago,” added Cloud.

The Sky improved to 14-22, while the Liberty dropped to 22-15.

Chicago will look for its third straight win on Friday against the Golden State Valkyries.
