For being the No. 3 overall pick in the 2026 NFL draft, there are a whole lot of fantasy football questions surrounding rookie running back Jeremiyah Love. Will free agent battering ram Tyler Allgeier cut into his workload, especially around the goal line? Are the Cardinals going to roll the dice with rookie Carson Beck at quarterback some point, potentially slowing down the offense? And most importantly, how much do we think the high ankle sprain Love suffered in the preseason is going to linger throughout the rest of the year?
Love was incredible at Notre Dame, finishing with 1,600 rushing and receiving yards and 21 touchdowns last season, and running backs who go in the top 10 generally have high hit rates. Despite the questions, there's a lot to like. Whether it's enough to draft him will come down to your leaguemates and if someone wants to reach for the talented rookie.
Here's what to know about Jeremiyah Love when it comes to fantasy football:
Should you draft Jeremiyah Love in fantasy?
If you play with a Notre Dame fan, you should probably make alternate plans at running back this season. Taking an injured rookie on a bad team who will likely be splitting time looks a lot better in the fourth or fifth rounds than the second, where many outlets had him going prior to the ankle injury. If you want a running back in the mid-to-late second round, take Baltimore's Derrick Henry or Dallas' Javonte Williams, and if you know something about Arizona that we don't, you can always grab Allgeier six or seven rounds later.
But if Love starts to fall and you love to draft for upside, he was the No. 3 overall pick for a reason. He was electric at Notre Dame and has future overall RB1 upside. Arizona also ends the season playing the Jets, Saints and Raiders, which doesn't hurt.
Don't take Love early, but also don't let him fall, especially if he's your third RB.
