Several fish were found dead at Korattur lake’s surplus course on Wednesday, raising concerns among residents.

Officials of the Water Resources Department said water released from Korattur lake to the water body in Retteri through the surplus course was temporarily stopped to facilitate water pipeline work carried out by Chennai Metrowater. The fish deaths could have been due to the lack of water in the surplus course.
