It is beginning to look like most 2022 high school graduates will be eligible for another year of eligibility, which could be a benefit to multiple former UCF Knights.

Thus far, senior guard Riley Kugel is the only player from last year's squad who is reportedly seeking a return, but Keyshawn Hall is another former Knight who made headlines about a potential return.

Hall posted a dual-picture via X in early-August, depicting both Kentucky and St. John's as his opponents.

UCF had originally been listed as a team who had reached out to Hall, looking for a potential reunion, but this post seemed to be a hint towards where he was leaning towards.

The situation got more-interesting earlier this week, as Hall posted another picture of him playing against Florida, another program in the upper-echelon.

Both of these teams have plenty of history and NIL resources at their disposal to attract Hall, who was one of the highest-paid players in the SEC last season at Auburn.

Hall, who led the Big 12 Conference in scoring with UCF two seasons ago, spent his senior year with Auburn before a brief stint with the Miami Heat Summer League team.

Because he is yet to sign a professional contract with an NBA franchise, Hall is eligible to return to college with the new ruling, which is an obvious decision for a player without guaranteed NBA money.

Hall spent the 2024-2025 season with UCF, averaging 18.8 points, 7.1 rebounds, and 2.4 assists, shooting at 43/35/82 splits.

As the Big 12's leading scorer, Hall posted multiple 30+ point performances, including a 40-point outburst against Arizona State.

Against the Sun Devils, Hall became just the third UCF player in the program's Division I history to eclipse 40 points.

He got off to a hot start, converting on his first six shot attempts while making four of his first five three-point attempts.

After scoring 29 points in the first half, Hall finished the game with 40, shooting 13-for-18 from the floor and 4-for-6 from long range.

Hall's 620 points on the season were the ninth most in a season in UCF history and he once again found himself on the second team in his conference's awards.

He initially indicated that he would pursue his NBA dreams after his time at UCF, but decided to return to school.

Eventually, Hall chose the Tigers in the portal, giving a lot of the credit to former head coach Bruce Pearl.

Of course, Pearl surprisingly retired before the season, passing the program off to his son - Steven Pearl.

While this transition may have hurt the Tigers' chances of winning as a team, Hall still shined under the younger Pearl, averaging 19.3 points per game and upping his shooting percentages from every level.

Hall was named a Third-Team All-SEC performer, while setting the Auburn single season record for most free throws made with 228, ranking second nationally.

Although Auburn's season didn't go as planned, Hall led the Tigers to an NIT Championship over Tulsa, scoring just 11 points, but pulling in 12 rebounds.

As a fifth-year, Hall would add significant value to any of the three teams he seems to be leaning towards, giving a historic program a versatile player in the frontcourt.
