Sebi has imposed a Rs 2 lakh penalty on Emami Realty for regulatory lapses involving a related-party loan and the classification of investments in its standalone financial statements. The regulator found that the company lacked prior audit committee approval for a Rs 25 lakh loan and improperly classified Rs 49.94 crore of investments.
