After an off day on Wednesday, the Los Angeles Rams were back on the field Thursday for their final practice before this weekend's preseason opener. Puka Nacua and Myles Garrett, however, were non-participants Thursday, working off to the side with trainers as they both nurse injuries. Nacua suffered what was reported as a minor groin injury in Tuesday's practice with the Cowboys and was unable to finish the session. There didn't seem to be much concern about it, though. Garrett, meanwhile, was held out of the joint practice due to some knee swelling, which Sean McVay wasn't worried about. McVay provided updates on both players after Thursday's practice. He said that Nacua is dealing with "something in his lower abs," per Nate Atkins of The Athletic, and that the team is just being careful with him. As for Garrett, he's making progress but the Rams are playing it safe until he gets to 100% healthy. Garrett had said before that he was at around 85%, which caused the team to hold him out of the joint practice.

Neither Nacua nor Garrett was scheduled to play against the Chiefs this weekend, anyway, so they'll get some extra rest without missing practice time. Hopefully by next week, the Rams will have both of their superstars back on the field.
