ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO/WQRF) — This will be one huge weekend for college football, and there will be one big rivalry game locally. Rockford University and Beloit College will get a jump on the action when they play a prime time game Thursday night in Beloit at Strong Stadium.
It's known as the Battle of the Rock River. The rivalry has been going in football since 2022. The players and coaches love it.
