Among the news surrounding the current New England Patriots roster, Monday brought a major announcement about a former player. Rob Gronkowski is going to be inducted into the Patriots Hall.

Among the news surrounding the current New England Patriots roster, Monday brought a major announcement about a former player. Rob Gronkowski is going to be inducted into the Patriots Hall of Fame on Saturday, November 7th, the team announced. Gronkowski retired last season as a Patriot, and the team announced on April 29th that the Super Bowl-winning tight end would make it into the franchise's Hall of Fame in his first year on the ballot. "Rob Gronkowski's performance on the field was extraordinary, but it was his infectious energy and consistently positive presence that truly set him apart," Patriots Chairman and CEO Robert Kraft said in a statement back on April 29. "He always brightened everyone's day. He earned the respect of coaches and teammates through his work ethic, preparation, and unselfish approach while redefining what it meant to play his position. Rob became a fan favorite almost immediately and remained the standard at tight end for nearly a decade. We look forward to celebrating his induction into the Patriots Hall of Fame and, in time, the Pro Football Hall of Fame."

@RobGronkowski's Patriots Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony will take place Saturday, November 7! pic.twitter.com/Kks5jcTKEz — The Hall presented by RTX (@TheHall) August 17, 2026 “I’m a Patriot for life," he said when he retired, according to the Associated Press. "My career started here and 100% needed to end here." Despite playing two seasons with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (and winning another Super Bowl there too), Gronk being enshrined and immortalized in Patriots' lore only feels right. Gronk won three Super Bowls during his nearly decade-long run in New England. He was picked 42nd overall in the 2010 NFL Draft. In nine seasons in Foxborough, he would have 521 receptions and 7,861 yards in 115 games with the team. Lastly, Gronk made five Pro Bowls and was named to the NFL All-2010s and 100th Anniversary teams, along with earning four first-team All-Pro honors. Gronk's induction ceremony also seems to line up perfectly with a certain game that the Patriots will be playing that weekend. The Patriots will host the Green Bay Packers on Sunday, November 8th. Who's going to be in the broadcast booth? Well, none other than Tom Brady. One would think Brady would also make an appearance at the ceremony the night before.
