Pedro Neto Transfer Latest as Chelsea Increase Valuation Amid Premier League Interest

Chelsea have raised their valuation of Pedro Neto as interest gathers pace from Arsenal, Manchester City and Tottenham, according to Metro. The winger is available this summer, but only if the numbers align with Chelsea’s revised expectations before the window closes.

Neto, now 26, arrived from Wolves in a £54m deal in 2024 and has already made more than 100 appearances for the club. Even so, there remains a sense that his output has not fully matched the investment. He did reach double figures last season, but that came across 52 appearances, a workload that underlines both his availability and the feeling that more could still come from him.

Chelsea set Pedro Neto asking price

The key development is the price. Chelsea had been understood to value Neto at around £70m, but that figure has now moved sharply upward. The latest claims suggest the club want close to £100m to approve a sale, a major increase that reflects both market conditions and the level of interest building around the Portugal international.

Chelsea’s stance has hardened after strong links with Al Hilal, where reports have suggested personal terms may already be in place. Internally, there is also a belief that the market for elite wide players has shifted. Comparisons are being drawn with Yan Diomande’s £120m move to Real Madrid and PSG’s £145m valuation of Bradley Barcola. Against that backdrop, Stamford Bridge decision-makers appear convinced Neto is worth significantly more than the earlier £70m figure.

There is also a squad-building element to this. Chelsea have added Morgan Rogers, Geovany Quenda and Emmanuel Emegha to an already stacked attacking group this summer. That depth gives the club room to listen to offers, even if they are under no pressure to force an exit.

Arsenal, Man City and Tottenham monitor winger

Manchester City are among the clubs most prominently linked, with Enzo Maresca keen on another attacking option after City’s 3-0 Community Shield defeat to Arsenal. Arsenal also remain attentive after long-standing admiration dating back to Neto’s time at Wolves, while Tottenham have made an approach as Roberto De Zerbi continues to reshape his squad.

What is notable is that Arsenal’s public messaging has been slightly different. Mikel Arteta said after the Community Shield that his immediate focus was on defensive reinforcements. Yet support for a move has still emerged from figures connected to the club.

Jeremie Aliadiere told Metro: “Pedro Neto could be a great option for Arsenal,” before adding, “He’s played in the Premier League for many years, is established, knows the league, a very, very good player.” Those words neatly capture the attraction. Neto does not require an adaptation period, he has proven quality in England and, at his best, he brings directness, pace and creativity from wide areas.

Market value shaped by timing and leverage

For Chelsea, this feels like a classic late-window calculation. There is buyer interest, there is Saudi money in the background and there is enough attacking depth to create leverage. In those circumstances, asking for close to £100m is a statement of intent as much as a realistic invitation to negotiate.

If no club reaches that level, Chelsea can keep a player who still has obvious value and could yet deliver more consistently. If someone does move aggressively, the Blues would bank a substantial fee for a player who has underwhelmed in flashes while still remaining highly regarded across the Premier League.

For now, Neto’s future remains open. Chelsea are willing sellers, but only on their terms, and that makes the coming weeks worth watching closely.

Our View

From a Chelsea supporter perspective, this report brings mixed feelings. On one hand, it is easy to understand why the club would listen. The squad is crowded in attacking areas, and if the market is genuinely willing to go near £100m, that is a huge decision point. Neto has had moments, and he has worked hard, but very few fans would say he has completely owned that shirt since arriving from Wolves.

At the same time, there is a sense that selling now could be premature. He has Premier League experience, he can beat defenders, and he still feels like a player who could explode in the right setup. If Chelsea let him go and he thrives at Arsenal or Manchester City, that would be a painful outcome to watch unfold over the next few years.

The line that stands out most is that Chelsea are “willing to sell Neto for the right price”. That feels sensible. The club should not be forcing him out, but they also should not ignore a major offer in a market where wingers are commanding extraordinary sums. Curious Chelsea fans will probably land in the same place, keep him unless somebody truly meets that £100m valuation. Anything less, and it may be smarter to back Neto to improve and prove his worth at Stamford Bridge.
