Real Madrid make radical changes with plans for new signing presentations this summer

According to MARCA, Real Madrid have already decided to make major changes to the way they usually welcome their new arrivals.

Unlike in the past, this time there will be no grand presentations at the Santiago Bernabéu and no appearances before the media.

Instead, the Spanish capital giants have opted for a much more discreet format, with private institutional events in which club president Florentino Perez will personally welcome the six summer signings and Jose Mourinho.

A more private presentation

Real Madrid have made as many as six new summer signings this year, with Marc Cucurella, Ibrahima Konate, Bernardo Silva, Denzel Dumfries, Carlos Espi, and Yan Diomande arriving.

Along with the six new arrivals, Los Blancos have also brought in Mourinho as the new manager.

However, instead of a public presentation, the idea is for each welcome ceremony to take place behind closed doors in an intimate setting.

The players will be accompanied by their families and loved ones and will spend some time with the president, in meetings the club describes as “simple and family-oriented events.”

There will be no media presence or press access, meaning none of the new arrivals will hold a press conference, as is usually the case with major signings.

This is a departure from the way that Real Madrid did things previously, as they presented new signings with greater fanfare, followed by press conferences.

It is expected that the private presentation ceremonies will take place in the coming days this week.

Keeping the focus on La Liga

The week’s schedule will allow Real Madrid to organize the meetings while the squad prepares for the start of La Liga. The players are enjoying a day off this Monday following Sunday’s 0-3 victory over Schalke 04 in Germany.

They will return to training on Tuesday to begin preparing for their league opener against RCD Espanyol at Cornella El-Prat next Saturday at 9:30 p.m.

Before that match though, the club will welcome their new arrivals and manager individually. It will also give Perez the opportunity to meet personally with the players who have joined the project, as well as their families.
