Preview: Leeds United Women vs Thornaby Women Leeds United Women get their 2026/26 campaign underway on Sunday as they welcome FA WNL Division One North newcomers Thornaby Women to the BD Community Stadium. Simon Wood's side will be looking to get off to a positive start against the North East outfit, looking to go that bit further this campaign after an impressive third-placed finish last term, only six points off the eventual champions. Leeds also started their previous season off with a home fixture, as they secured a 1-1 draw at home to Chorley Women. Our guests on Sunday achieved promotion to the Division One North last campaign after finishing as the highest ranked second-placed team in Tier 5. Leeds will host Thornaby on Sunday, before a trip to Chester-le-Street Town Ladies a week later. Simon Wood's side will then get their FA WNL Cup campaign in action as they visit Halifax Women the following Thursday. For a full fixture list and key information, please click here. Action from the BD Community Stadium gets underway at 2pm. Our new signings! Sunday's match could be an opportunity for supporters to see four new signings in action. Abi Coley, Holly Mears, Izzy Dean and Ella Harris have all linked up with Simon Wood's squad this summer. Please join us in welcoming them to the Whites on matchday!

The view from inside the camp: Ahead of the opener, Whites' captain Shauna Legge said: "We are really looking forward to getting back to it on Sunday. It's been nice to have a break. "You're always ready for a break when the end-of-season comes around but on the flip side, you're always ready to get going again when that time comes. "We have added some new faces that have really bolstered the squad and added quality to a good side, solid side that we already had, so just ready now to put all that hard work over the past few weeks and months into action now." To read the full interview click here. Supporter Information: Sunday’s game kicks-off at 2pm at Garforth Town FC’s freshly-renamed 'BD Community Stadium', Cedar Ridge, Garforth, LS25 2PF. Tickets are priced at £6 for adults, £4 for Under-16s and free for Under-5s. Hot food and drink will be available in the East Stand concourse.
