
District Superintendent of Police A. Pavan Kumar Reddy instructed that all manpower agencies should be duly registered. They should maintain the whereabouts, employment and accommodation details of workers engaged through them, particularly migrant workers. Basic particulars of workers should be furnished to the jurisdictional police station and updated periodically.
The participants were instructed to report to the jurisdictional police if any worker goes missing, absconds or leaves the workplace or accommodation without intimation.
They should alert the police upon noticing any quarrel, assault or any other disputes among migrant workers at their workplace or residential premises. Information on the transportation, possession and sale of drugs, banned tobacco products and other contraband substances from other States into Tamil Nadu should be reported to the police.
