The 2026 football season for the Auburn Tigers is on the horizon. As we anticipate the start of the season, let's introduce you to a key member of the 2026 roster.
Auburn brought in a good handful of South Florida wide receivers this offseason to compliment the addition of transfer quarterback Byrum Brown. One of those wide receivers is senior Chas Nimrod, a player that was receruited by Auburn head coach Golesh going back to his days at Tennessee.
Nimrod came out of the 2022 class and signed with the Volunteers. He spent three seasons with the Vols before entering the transfer portal in 2025 as a redshirt junior and landing with USF to be with his former UT offensive coordinator, Golesh.
At USF, he started in six games for the Bulls and played in a total seven. Nimrod posted some good numbers averaging 20.3 yards per catch. He finished the season with 23 catches and 466 receiving yards. His year was cut short due to an injury. Nimrod, now at Auburn, looks to be a key receiver on offensive in Golesh's system alongside his other USF transfers.
