The New England Patriots have much to look forward to in the 2027 NFL Draft, making the upcoming pool of talent one that presents the team with the opportunity to greatly improve their roster with the right first-round pick. Bleacher Report has the Patriots selecting Florida running back Jadan Baugh with the No. 23 overall pick in their 2027 NFL mock draft. ”Jadan Baugh will enter the upcoming campaign as B/R's top-ranked running back prospect," Bleacher Report scout Dame Parson said, "because he displays excellent vision, patience and post-snap processing quickness. The 225-pound ball-carrier runs with a powerful downhill style and excellent contact balance to churn out extra yardage. The Patriots have two high-quality running backs in Rhamondre Stevenson and TreVeyon Henderson in their offensive backfield. Stevenson is still playing at a high level and is a former 1,000-yard rusher in the league, while Henderson came just 89 rushing yards short of reaching that marker last season and has much upside heading into his second season in the league in 2026. Stevenson and Henderson are both set to hit free agency in 2029. Despite having what they need at the position, a highly-touted player like Baugh will be a player for the Patriots to consider in the first round of the draft next season.
